How to Play Craps

Game Basics

The player rolling the dice is known as the shooter. The game starts with a shooter selecting two dice from a set of five. The shooter’s first throw is called the come-out roll. At this point of the game there is a marker at the end of the table displaying “OFF.”

Players who place a pass line bet—made before the first roll of the dice—win if the come-out roll totals 7 or 11, and lose if the roll is 2, 3, or 12. Any other total (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) becomes the shooter’s point or “point number.”

Once a point is established, the marker is placed on that number and flipped to show “ON.” All players need the "point" to repeat again to win on the pass line - before the shooter rolls a 7..

The shooter continues rolling until either the point is made or a 7 appears. When a 7 is rolled before the point, the round ends and the dice pass to the next shooter.

No matter who is rolling, all active wagers on the table remain in play while the shooter continues.

Dice-Ology™

Dice-Ology™ is an exciting bonus wager in Craps that gives players the option to place up to three separate side bets.

Getting Started

You can choose to place one, two, or all three Dice-Ology bonus wagers:

Little Ones: Pays if all “small” numbers (2, 3, 4, 5, and 6) are rolled before a 7 appears.

Big Ones: Pays if all “large” numbers (8, 9, 10, 11, and 12) are rolled before a 7 appears.

Boom or Bust: Pays if all numbers (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12) are rolled before any 7.

Winning and Losing

Players must place all Dice-Ology bets before any of the applicable numbers (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12) are rolled. Once a number hits, a corresponding button is placed in the designated area, and that specific bonus wager can no longer be made until it either wins or a 7 is rolled.
